Adorned with iconic Texas native flora and fauna, the infinity sign in 2023 EIS logo alludes to Holling and Gunderson's (2002) looping model of species pool dynamics across landscapes during the course of community development.

The organismal diversity represented includes:

Oak leaves (Quercus sp.)

Texas Bluebonnet (Lupinus texensis)

Velvet Ant* (Dasymutilla sp.)

Texas Blind Salamander (Eurycea rathbuni)

Scissor-tailed Flycatcher (Tyrannus forficatus)

Ocelot (Leopardus pardalis)

Nine-banded Armadillo (Dasypus novemcinctus)

*actually a wasp
