ColLAB is a hands-on, interactive workshop that gives students in planning and related fields the chance to collaborate with peers from other schools to develop solutions for real-world challenges. This year, students at ColLAB will partner with Texas Target Communities (TxTC) to analyze, understand, and address disparities affecting underserved neighborhoods in the Greater Houston area.

The event will kick off with an Opening Reception on Thursday evening, where students will meet their teams, hear from keynote speakers, and receive the event's topic. On Friday, students will participate in a fast-paced, intensive planning exercise to evaluate existing conditions and prepare recommendations for improvement within the study area. Throughout the event, professionals from Texas A&M's Urban Planning Professional Advisory Committee (PLANPAC) will provide guidance and support. The workshop will conclude with students presenting their work to a panel of professionals. Food will be provided!
